BEARPAW WHITETAIL UPDATE 2006
Bearpaw has just completed one of our best seasons in the history of our company.
Perfect conditions, combined with the best guide staff in the country produced a year we will be hard pressed to duplicate.
4 bucks grossed 180, 6 over 170 and 20 over 160 for a superb season.
We had 40 hunters of which 36 where successful harvesting whitetail bucks. Our average white-tailed deer was once again very close to 160 gross Boone & Crockett.
We had 11 Combination hunters in November 9 of 11 where successful harvesting both species.
Booner Beck (front page) on his first deer hunt with Bearpaw took an outstanding 5x4 gross score 183 with Veteran Dan Dolynchuk.

Booner Beck - 183 Giant White-tailed Deer

Rick Teems took an awesome 173 14 Point with Colby Johnson in a cut block.

Glenn Bailey waited until the last 2 days of his trip to put down
what possibly may be our best combination hunt ever
187 Non-Typical Whitetail and a 194 Typical Mule Deer.

Dallas Taylor - 160 Whitetail

Mark Erspamer took a 172 gross 5x5 with Jason Parker in early November.

Sam Syring with 4X4 150 Whitetail

Ron Clous returned to Alberta and took a great 168 5x5
to go
along with the 240 Non Typical from the year before.

Glenn Smith and Brian McCarty harvested 2 great Bucks 181 and 182 respectively
with guides Bowen Dolhan and Scott Taylor.
Father and son team Blake and Woody Richards took a pair of 160's back to Texas.
Jim Dean, Joe Demchak, Dave Westrum, Bill Clous, Boyd Iverson, Tom Sperl, Dave Schulte, Tim Harper, Doug Patoka, John Paul, Sam Syring all took exceptional bucks 160 or better.
We will continue to move more and more stands to cut lines and clear cuts in 2007. 60% of our deer were taken between 10:00 A.M and 2:00 P.M.
The Bearpaw Staff in 2006 was the best group of guides I have ever had the pleasure working with.
