Bear Paw operates Whitetail hunts in approx. 10,000 square miles of the best Whitetail habitat in the world. The zones we hunt in provide Whitetails with everything necessary to grow racks in excess of 170 B & C. The Perfect mix of boreal forest and agriculture are responsible for growing the Monster Racks which have been produced for the last 15 years.
The Peace Country has produced some incredible deer. Neil Morin’s massive 278 non-typical (Canada’s largest #4 B & C all time), as well as Norm Trudeau’s 193 net (#4 Provincial), client Ron Clous 240” non-typical , and Don Gardner’s 2008 190” typical are 5 examples of genetics in the area.
Deer tend to be heavy antlered and long tined and body sizes in excess of 300 lbs. live weight are relatively common. Hunting methods include Spot & Stalk, rattling, calling, and stand. Hunting strategically produces the majority of our bucks. We use a combination of ladder stands, climbers, ground blinds, as well as tower blinds and heated enclosed box blinds.
